I think it depends on the person. Some guys are just naturally like that, and there is nothing wrong with that...for someone. I personally like a nice mixture. I would like a guy who is strong, and masculine, but also one who knows how to be sweet when he needs to. I think a guy purely manly or very effeminate wouldn't work. It's all a matter of preference, we all have different personalities.

was giving this thread some thought...
what is an alpha male anyway?....took me some time to figure out...but to me an alpha male is a male who just fits in his skin, with whatever he does..
be it pissing in his garden or decorating his bathroom...
as long as he takes charge.....then he is a male to me.
I am not so into that alpha stuff.... you see, my boss might LOOK an alpha male at work because he is in charge..... but I do happen to know he is married to a very strongheaded woman... he is nothing at home...
trurorob: A man can always be a man, doesnt stop him being sensitive and caring, what you describe is someone henpecked. But understand your way of thinking, but a real man would be strong yet still concerning and sensitive to others feelings.
I agree with you Rob, I like a man who can stand up to me, and the best way he can shut me up, is to take me in is arms and kiss me deeply, soon we are both laughing,I do not do henpecked.
