Car smoking ban ......... are you.......? (131)

Playing devils advocate here but what if they introduced an all out smoking ban in cars ................ would using these smokeless cigarettes or the new eletronic cigarettes be breaking the law because you would still have to use a hand to hold them..........

yes they sure are, would think they have caused more accidents since they came out, ten years or so ago, than smoking has ever done since the invention of cars, banning smoking in cars is just another bright idea by the politicians to score brownie points with the european environmental propaganda nd bring more money into the exchequer!!

Saw a bloke smoking his kids to death in a car one morning outside a school while waiting for the school to open ....inside of the car was blue!!!!! It was Criminal what he made his kids sit in.


Easy solution ....ban smoking totally...very easy to police that...sniff sniff ...oh and that would slow down global warming as well

I never smoke in my car but, the only reason being is its brand new and the kids are mostly with me.even when their not I still dont as it will make their carseats stink! I did before though. Drove from ashbourne to donnybrook everyday and couldn't do city centre traffic without a smoke! I dont see how its dangerous. Im a good driver so I can do both, safely! If thats the case they should ban old men picking the snotter of themselves. The finger is rammed up their noses longer then it takes me to smoke a full cigarette We pay tax, we pay insurance, we pay for nct, we pay for our licence and fuel and now they want to tell us what to do? nah i dont think so!!!!

While the goverment can not make you give up smoking they have a responsibitity to point out the dangers of smoking and to limit the damage to non smokers ............

yes they are all facts, but what have they to do with driving cars??

I think staring at the speedo constantly to make sure you're not exceeding the new 20mph speed limits that seem to be appearing everywhere(in the uk) is quite dangerous.
