Well, it's a physically fit activity and can be competitive. So why not include the shearers as well.

It was always competitive in the old days when the shearer who shore the most sheep in an 8 hour day was the "ringer" of the shed. This was a big honour.

still the same , he gets the first stand in most sheds . Not to sure about going to the games with it though . Just seems a bit odd ?

I once asked a Kiwi if I could have a go at shearing his sheep.
He promptly retorted "I'm not sharing her with anyone" grin

i think it would be totally unfair to any onther country who would enter,as we all know the special relationship that kiwis have with their sheep,so they prob would finish 1st,2nd,& 3rd...not that too many would want to see them finish so quicklywine comfort

Hello Rob , you and Pebbs are hard case's ,you can get 12 volt handpieces now . Better still eat the sheep and spend the rest of the time with your metal detectors . wave

Gees, well you'll be fit enough to join the australia shearers then. Surely if nz brought over a team, we would rustle up one as well?! dunno

Guy I know here has Dorper sheep pebbles D Hollands.

merria they shed there wool so you don't need to share them.
They are however susceptible to worm infections, there is also a red sheep from Africa under trail in Australia that sheds its wool and is not so susceptible to worms.

I brought one of those battery hand peaces but still took well over an hour to shear one.

will upload alpaca photo my prof....
