Does anyone discriminate when advances are made towards them?

ie: do you baulk when someone doesn't meet up to your perceived image you have fixed in your head as to what your date should look like?

do you choose non smokers or smokers?

between uptown, downtown, rural or o/seas suitors

there are to many to mention but contribute what you will to the long list of yes no's and maybes you place between the prospective dates and yourself.

Just don't give up, maybe alternate your criteria to test the waters with people you may never have considered before?

I guess meeting men in clubs etc., you subconsciously check out the guys that pique your interest, then look you look again, and you go ... nah he's this that and the other...
whereas when you meet someone from the cyberspace, it's a different kettle of fish, does he photo match him... basically the photo doesn't really matter, as you can't alter bone structure etc., if he's missing some hair so what!! but sometimes I been caught on the personality side of things... at first you think ... well let's see, maybe that person is shy and awkward like you are so you step back ... but other times it's like hard work...

anyway it's just my opinion

Yes - discriminate... I do...I think..a bit, but I try to put my thoughts to one side and let some talking happen and see if we share core values... that is the decider .. conversing

I dont much care about the smoking stuff, it doesn't bother me because I smoke...

Re o/s suitors... I can tell you some are just lovely, but if it progresses to a point where I am totally smitten, I say goodbye, because I know its just a pipedream... meaning I am not leaving my family and grandchildren here to go following my heart... because realistically, I would be torn and stressed... broken heart

I will admit to having discriminated a lot in the past. I was a very strong supporter of Apartheight until I realised that there are so many lovely women shorter than me.

If I met a non-smoker, and I felt she was the right one for me, I would gladly give it up to be with her.

I have moved away from family and friends to be with "the one" and I do realise the heartache it brings. Especially when it doesn't work.

But my daughter moved down here and we are very close. So, Merri, I do understand what you are saying about moving away from family. Down the street is not a problem as they are likely to move to the next street anyway.

think that your statement many...is actually an understatement..
we all seem to put guards up or have expectations of what the next partner should be...

reaction from the action of the hurt previously endured...thumbs up wine
