Carr is doing deals with the Indonesian s to break her out.
Swap a couple of people smugglers for a shorter sentence.
Hopefully Corby is out and home in Australia for Christmas.

Eight years is enough in one of our prisons, let alone theirs.

Face it, who needs to take drugs to an Asian country?
They're cheap enough there in the 1st place.
It's a long time to serve when you're innocent and didn't need to do this in the 1st place.
What's the equivalent sentence for someone caught bringing drugs into Australia?
Maybe 2 years at the most I'm guessing?confused

Apparently the demand comes from Aussies and other foreigners, the stuff there isn't up to their 'standards'.

Yeah right, I can really see people wanting to sit in an Indonesian jail for decades just for a few dope $$$$. Get real.

That's not a lot when you consider the time served, you could earn that sitting at home on the dole.

Seriously, I dont know if she was guilty, but clearly, having access to drugs was common to her... so

I wonder if she has learnt her lesson now... I reckon so... dunno

Seeing her on TV during her court case I could have sworn she was innocenty but the rumour I heard that was then going around, she was taking it over there for her brother in law who ran a shop there and would sell it under the counter. Still 8 yrs for a few grams of illegal tobaco, I think is too much.

Hi Tone...

I think 8 days is enough, to reflect on what you did... and the consequences

However, the thing is.... If I look at it this way...Should anyone sell/give drugs to my grandchildren... they'd not have a lot of hope because I would happily ............ ( you guess the rest) doh

and I spent years and years making sure my kids kept away from it all, and it was jolly hard work... being with them, involving them in every sport club I could come up with to keep them occupied and off the streets...

so yes, I hate the drug thingo with a passion,

but if she never did it, then I do feel sorry for her.. but look at the case of that young 13yr old... that they sent back to Aus... he should have learnt a few lessons from that...he was lucky to have gotten , what was it a few months...

and so were his parents...

conversing

It does wreck lives worse than alchol, coz its so expensive. 400 grams, worth a lot of money but its not a real lot, and 8 yrs is too long. As for the kid, Yes lucky he was young, but....mmm I think some money was exchanged somewhere.
