Of course it is pure semantics, this difference between Socialism, Communism, Trotsyism, Marxism et al. It's the same tyrannical, inhuman, collectivist statism where humans are just another commodity. As Marx says in his labour theory of human value, "Living human labour-power ... is a commodity like any other." "Mother Earth" and even animals will have rights but humans are reduced to 'commodities'.
