I have to be, I work in a gift shop and it's manic on the run up to Christmas :)
NotABlonde: Presents are all bought, just need to wrap them when the wrapping paper comes tomorrow. Crackers are made and ready, table setting's done.
Food's all there except for the fresh stuff (and one of the tins of Quality Street). Just need to buy the turkey and veggies.

Not my good time.......what do you buy someone who already has everything they want?
Last year I gave my son & his wife Bunning vouchers - boring as bitshat but they can get something the really want. They don't read, have funny tastes in music, only wear "brand" clothes that are in current fashion (meaning that the week before Xmas is out of fashion), have every appliance thinkable, hate ornaments, don't drink, and Quality Street melts in Sydney over Xmas. And have just sold their place to build another one and now living with his mother
But have sorted 3 out of 5 others I do need to do. Bundy, Bundy & Bundy. Love these happy drinkers

Now if you want some decent salami, best place I know of is Harndhorf, SA. While "Don is Good," this little Germanic village makes the best. Have bought some nice kangaroo salamis over the years but...............................................................

OK, totally random question: has anyone else discovered how delicious ice-cream is when you take the tub out of the freezer and put it in the fridge for about 30-40 minutes? That way, it has time to warm up slowly, right through and become soft and fluffy.
The hard part is the waiting..... which is what i am doing now.
Who wants to eat something at -18C ?? Hurts yer teeth!

I used to pick up ice-cream from a company and got on good with the storman/forklift drivers
They had those big tins (dented)of all diff flavours and sold them to staff and regular truck drivers etc... for $5 One day i asked if they had a dented tin of licorice ice-cream which is my fav
Storman said no licorice anyway
We unloaded the truck and while i was with a diff storman doing paperwork
the other storman came back with a large tin of licorice 
i was just a little excited i said, i thought you did'nt have any he said, it's amazing what a size 10 workboot can do (dented can) I could'nt wait to get home 
and get stuck into it ..... yummo

I spent the week pigging out on ice-cream mmm mmm mmm
It was roughly the time i got diagnosed with diabetes and did'nt know much about it (diabetes) and had all things going through my mind 
anyway
To cut a long story short
one morning i had a poo and as you do, every now and then have a view to see if anything is wrong 
I had a peep and............ 
I saw s/thing very unusual
so after wiping bum (i think) 
i got on phone and rang nurse on call for some advise 
and i thought my problem had s/thing to do with the diabetes i thought i was dying ok ok i will tell you butt don't tell anyone
...... My poo was green
.... i'm lucky the nurse on call thing put me on hold 
and in that time i worked out what problem was and hung up 
It was all the blo*dy licorice ice-cream i ate
