Happygolucky4u: Oh I feel so guilty I laughed when I read that.But....it was funny

Glad that I am your entertainment Happy... bless ya...
laugh

I can't think of any time when we don't have something happy to say to each other...
which is really nice..

but you know.. If I hadn't finally one day last week made it into the vicinity of the station, with time up my sleeve.. which is the only reason I saw this...

because for all these months that my jumper was sat in the tree, I had never seen it... not surprisingly, as I am usually running late, and running down the hill is the operative sentence.. laugh

With that I will tell you a funny story about words meaning different things in different countries. The first time I heard the word jumper being used by someone from Australia was when I was meeting a young man and he said he was going to bring a jumper to wear. And I thought geez that should be a little awkward for me (I cleaned up what I thought for the sake of political correctness) in my area a jumper is a dress that a woman wears a shirt under.

You know it was luck to even see your jumper again! So what happened to the jumper? Is it still in the tree? I will have to reread your post. I might of missed that part. We do always have such nice chats. bouquet

In the truckin ind here in melbourne we call a peep (among other things) mumbling a jumper, who stands on top of our major bridges/overpasses deciding if they want to take their own lives or not blues sad flower

9.99% of the time when it happens it causes a gridlock and caos for miles & s/times hours frustrated (a lot less if they do jump)then no negotiators needed.

Not good for the jumper i suppose, but overtime $$$$ for heaps of other peeps uh oh

A pet story i heard on a radio station today blues

A STUNNED St Albans Park family says its long-lost pet cat, Shelby, has returned home after being missing for 13 years.

When a stray cat arrived in Paula Harper-Adams’s front yard recently, she and her children were shocked and saddened at the poor state of the animal.

Thinking it was a young feline they took it to Newcomb Vet Clinic in Coppards Rd to see if anything could be done for it. When vet workers told Ms Harper-Adams it was quite an old cat, an unlikely thought crossed her mind — could this be Shelby, a beloved pet missing for 13 years.

But that cat would now be almost 18 years old, she told herself.

“I was convinced I was crazy, but I took a photo of the cat’s face, in case anyone responded to my Facebook post (for a missing animal), and left,’’ Ms Harper-Adams.

“I half joked that if I could find a photo of Shelby, I’d be back (to compare).

“Well, I went home and, like a woman possessed, searched through box after box until I found the photo I was looking for, Shelby.

“I took the photo back to the vet and the girls had a good look over her and the photo before coming back and announcing to me in the waiting room: ‘She is your cat.’ ’’

Ms Harper-Adams said she was in complete disbelief and burst into tears.

She was full of praise for the staff at the Bellarine Vet Clinic, and hoped there would be many more happy days for her and her family to share with her long-lost moggy.
