Depends on where you're going on the date. Walk on the beach or the park with your dog or a horse-riding date. Great conversation topic. So it's a good question, even if it's meant to be mocking something or someone as per usual here!
Probably best not to bring to a restaurant though, and other pets might be best left at home and introduced later, i.e. your pet snake or goldfish.

I hadn't thought of this, so of course you are right--dog lovers going to the beach would be a wonderful place to take pets, and real conversation pick-me-ups. If both parties have an interest in animal welfare, Humane Society, and so forth....perhaps that might be appropriate. I admit I shot from the hip, and stepped away from my own mantra of staying open-minded. (I really need to be true to self, and more thoughtful about everything). serena123: Have a couple of snakes too.. (Corn snakes) harmless.. But wouldleave them at home .. People tend to freak out when I take them out shopping with me
