OK, so I don't want to fill the forum with Trump threads again so I'll post this question here.
Is Paul Ryan playing Trump? It looks that way to me. Ryan's healthcare bill has suddenly become Trump's "signiture healthcare bill"...the only thing I see that resembles Trumps healthcare promise us the repeal of Obamscare. None of the replace side adds up to what Trump said he would deliver. Also over the last week, Ryan has blown up Trump as "the closer" and the ultimate dealmaker. This occurred when the likelihood of failure in the House was pretty big.

Yeats1980: It will definitely worry Trump...he is been diplomatic in his response so far. He knows he has been played. This goes down as a Trump failure even though it was never really a Trump bill in the first place. Tax reforms will be even more difficult now. Trump will need to stop attacking the Democrats and realise that his dealmaking requires them as a part. He won't get a deal relying on the Freedom Caucas...Infrastructure and tax will need to be bipartisan...Time to forget the election and start delivering...
No tax reform without healthcare reform , right wing will be more interested in gaining tax cuts than stopping Trumps health care , so US will have health care reform . Just a matter of linking the two and waiting for them to come on-board . It's quite hardball when considering Trump has said play ball or lose your seats , in a much softer way of course .

I see it as Trump has been eroding the berm that has been holding back a gigantic boulder at the top of a hill, and that boulder has now started ever so slowly to roll down and there's no way for the orange man to get out of the way before it rolls right over him. He will be crushed like the cockroach he is. It's only a matter of time.
