People who genuinely enjoy life are less likely to shaft you deliberately, on the other hand they're more likely to do something dangerous and/or ridiculous based on excessive self-confidence or not do some dirty job which we all know needs to be done.

And there are those who aren't happy but use happy in a try-hard and frankly shameless act of self-promotion. The commercial cheeriness of a snake oil salesman will shaft you deliberately and take the greatest of pleasure from schadenfreude.

Let_Us: My bad, Double D! You ARE correct! You NEVER said she was your "friend". I just ASSUMED that, since you were in CONSTANT ENOUGH contact with this woman, to note that she had a generally "Happy" disposition, you were somewhat "closer" than passers-by, on the street! (You DO say, later, that you interact with this woman.) But you're right! I submit that "I" made the mistake of "assuming"!

And, NO, you DIDN'T say you WEREN'T a "happy person"! BUT - NEITHER DID I!!!! I'm somewhat curious about why you made THAT statement???

The rest of you reply requires NO comment, by me. Who you are, and How you are, is between YOU, and YOU! If YOU like YOU, you're doing GREAT!

As far as "being verbose", "loquacious" is the word "I" prefer. Verbose implies that I use words just because I LIKE using words! Which is NOT true! I SELDOM use a word that "I" FEEL doesn't contribute to the "truth" and/or "clarity" of the information I'm ATTEMPTING to convey! Brevity CERTAIN:Y has points in it's favor. But, in MY opinion, brevity, at the expense of clarity, or meaning, is COUNTER-productive! Sorry if your attention span can't handle it. But I JUST DON'T KNOW how to BE "superficial"? I've told you before, that I'm socially, "impaired"!

My username is DeeDee I prefer u refer to me as such and not Double D.
Or is ur eyesight failing you.

I find ur responses both tiresome and aggressive.
U remind me of another poster on the forums who like to...or sorry who appears to like to talk down to people in his responses.
If this isn't correct then I apologise.
No I never said that she was the one I interact with either.
Again ur comprehension is somewhat lacking Let_Us
I myself prefer the word verbose...because yes u do love words...you also love to take the time to make ur posts stand out.
No one's attention span can keep up with ur posts Let_Us....that's why numerous plp have said as such to u.
But perhaps u feel ur more superior than others therefore u can write as long as u want because ur you n who shudnt or want to listen to u.
Maybe something YOU SHOULD THINK ABOUT .

What statement did I make that ur curios about??
She is an aquaintance....she works in our building...I see her along with others everyday.
I don't feel it was gossiping as I do admire her.
It was an example that we used to continue a discussion based on the psychology of happiness rather than to bash her for being happy.
How r u socially impaired might I ask..

I can't see anything wrong with having a smile on your face and never say anything bad about others.
People have their grumpy moments and moments of sadness and that doesn't change their generally positive outlook on life.
I do avoid people who always complain or have a stiff face that will crack any moment...
When you smile, the world smiles back at you...and yes, there is always a silver lining, it's up to you if you want to see it...

I don't do anything that takes away my smile.

I never have.

Life's too short for that.

Even in the worst times, I can always find something to be thankful for.

Just to sum this thread up.

I am a happy person 90% of the time.
I do not have a problem with people being happy.

I wanted a discussion on the extremes of emotions ..happiness being the one i wanted to discuss.

I guess my thread got lost in translation with alot of people.

But I'm glad it had brought u all out to say that u are indeed happy people.
That makes me happy.....bit just not extremely so!!

Go enjoy ur Sundays/saturdays/Mondays whatever the case maybe.

Deedee123x: She's not a friend of mine so she wud hardly confide in me.

Those are good traits to have which is why I said I admired her.

Full blown emotions are what I was saying make me uneasy!!.

If she is not a friend of yours how would you trust her? happy (with blown emotions) or not.
