He also lied to the thousands of workers who he promised in return for voting for him he would ensure their jobs were secure. more than half have now already lost their jobs and more will go early next year. Ford are even moving production for some models to China, yet Trump said Ford would never do that, he even made Ford abandon plans for a new factory in mexico.
The way things are going Trump will probably announce that he won't stand for a second term, rather than admit that he has no support from any party, even his family is starting to distance themselves from him.
He will soon have to rebuild his main back-office officials and fast running out of any loyal candidates. He is a terrible man manager and as can be seen every day, stabs his loyal supporters in the back whenever he needs to divert attention from himself.

You have a problem when anyone says the slightest thing abot China, especially when a discussion comes up that touches on how brutal civilization is there. You always have to campare to the west or maybe even blame the west.

Good and bad in a country's economy can not be attributed to the president in turn, there are many factors that add-subtract to it.
I do understand that a political leader must want to serve/benefit the people in their land, what I do criticize is the way of doing it and the lies that go along yet many blindly believe it.
One example during the campaign: if Hillary wins there will be war...well... there is war going on with Trump and he is promoting huge weapons' deals.

Am I defensive about the constant lies put out by ignorant Americans, absolutely. But I also do the same for other countries that I have experience about, for example, the recent change of leadership in Zimbabwe, because so many had the false ideas about the history.
As for Mao, he did dreadful things, there are many things wrong with China today, and if you took notice of my posts, you would see I have constantly spoken about them. China is far from perfect, I would be the first to stand up and say so, but when lies are pushed out to support any agenda to malign any country, that needs to be corrected in my opinion.
I have had the fortune to have lived and worked all over the world, that experience has shown me that most people really have no real idea about the country they live next too let alone those on the other side of the world.

All before my time Conrad, but however many died in the Chinese civil war, it would seem that Mao was loved and held in great reverence by those who remained after the war. And is still regarded as the father of the new Chinese state.
Personally, I still find it hard to understand just why the Chinese have such high regard for Mao, but I'm not Chinese, didn't live through that period of time, so just respect that is the way of life in China, it is their country and traditions, not mine.

Hahaha, maybe I think like you think the Chinese think, but unless you actually live here you have no real idea how they think, and I can assure you, my thought process is a long way from that of a native Chinese lol.
I truly wish you would visit this country, and then see with your own eyes the lies and misinformation put about by western media.
If you get the chance, go and speak with someone who has visited China and I am sure you will be amazed that their impression is far from the one you have right now.
China has very clean streets, far cleaner than most western cities, you can walk around most cities at any time day and night and feel safe, muggers and thieves are a rarity, especially away from the huge cities such as Beijing or Shanghai.
On the other hand the internet is terrible, slow and of course very hard to access websites outside of China without a VPN, rules and regulations are an everyday nuisance, even trying to find a spare classroom for extra tuition requires several forms to be completed and returned days later with a red stamp to give permission. And the driving here is the worst I have experienced anywhere other than India.
In fairness, before I came to China, my own opinion was not dissimilar to yours.

A very close friend of mine visited China earlier this year for the first time since she was there 30 years ago, way before their was China Disney. She loves China but not the pollution there. She’s into archeology and is fascinated by China’s history and she is devastated that China lost so much history to build dams.

I'm sure China was aware that NK was indeed constructing Nuclear weapons, but NK is an independent country, albeit tied to South Korea, which means the China would have had no right to dictate to them what they can and can't do. China did advise the NK government some years ago to refrain from building these weapons, but China has as much right to tell NK what to do than New Zealand telling Australia what they can and can't do.
Maybe the USA should dictate to Mexico what they can do, Oh wait, Trump is already doing that, doing a great job of it too
