What do you think the punishment for putting too much milk in tea should be?

I would say death but I know of a greater crime.....if you ask a for a tea with milk in a Spanish bar it´s highly likely that you will be served a coffee glass of hot milk with a tea bag dying inside itbarf barf

I find it hard to believe that anyone would do such a thing.

jac_the_gripper: Being made to drink Mellow Birds.

Is this a suggested punishment or are you just nominating another crime?

Both, really.

Anyone who puts too much milk in tea is likely to be a member of the opposition, i.e., a coffee drinker.

It's all in that cunning reference book, the Bible. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth and a Mellow Birds for a milky tea.

Stands to reason as the logical solution.

Had I known that I probably wouldn't have started the thread. I was unaware that the matter had already been addressed, let alone at such a high level.

What about putting marmalade on toast that's still warm? Does the Bible say anything about that?

I'm not familiar with the whole Bible in detail, but there's bound to be a verse about cold mashed potato in the same chapter.

You can't expect a new principal for every eventuality.

That's a bit more complicated. I've heard they substitute mashed potato for ice cream in ads because of the melting issue under hot studio lights, so there could be mitigating circumstances regarding cold mash. I don't see a problem with that, provided no one eats it.

Well the Bible is rather thick, I'm sure there's enough room to fit the more serious eventualities in there.

Well, one might question whether mashed potato under studio lights (Genesis 1:3) is truly cold, so that might hold off an act of vengeance, or two.

I've also found the Bible to be rather dense, but I'm sure it does cover all the important issues. Although, I've just purchased a dehumidifier online and I can't find the relevant instructions now Leviticus 14:33-53 no longer appears to apply. Surely, there has to be something about plugging it in and emptying it? dunno

Who knows? The wrath of God can be quite arbitrary, I'd rather play it safe and make sure my mash is always piping hot. A burnt tongue is infinitely preferable to the fires of Hell.

Divine inspiration is just never there when you are most in need of it. I guess there's nothing else for it, jac, you're just going to have to refer to the manufacturers instructions.
