Keepers: Do you believe that it is possible for reincarnation to exist? Give reasons and remember freedom of speech is free for all.

This is possibly the best way to find someone on these threads, as I've looked for Mercedes without any luck. Perhaps her posts are few and far between.

I believe in reincarnation, it's the only thing that makes sense of the madness.

And it's also postmodern. It's anti-reason, anti-science and dead against the things that make the world we know a part of this second religiousness that comes after and not before the power of knowledge. It's a weariness and disgust with knowledge and all the answers, comforts and convenience which mastering the real world provides, the second religiousness is a longing for a more spiritual existence that comes from the heart of the material world. I think of it as novelty spiritualism from a distance where it clashes with everything else about your life.

When Ancient Rome was on the decline they too became more religious, but not through their own religion, a religion they imported in from someplace else. Reason peaks about two thirds into the life cycle of a high culture, before this time you find devout religion and after you will find novelty spiritualism.

It's an actuality a slightly later than mid-life crisis that cultures go through. A point and period where you hate yourself and go to war against your own life's work is what postmodernism and the second religion is all about. Everything that undermines you, your ancestors and your posterity becomes fashionable in this self-annihilating will which seems to grow out of affluence and creature comforts and approaching the senior years of your life cycle where you desperately reach for the delusion and wonder of youth - even tho you do know better, you deliberately choose not to because you hate what you know and where whar you know has left you. Suicide peaks in middle age too.

Fake news didn't come from nowhere. Fake news is the crowning glory of the baby boomer generation, it's a product of their war on truth and substance and an entire generation despising maths. Which isn't to say they can't do mental arithmetic, only that they cannot live with the predictability of logic or appreciate what comes from 2 + 2 = 4 in the same way rich people don't understand about not taking other people's stuff because they have so much stuff of their own.

The snowflake wants to believe it has some special connection with creation minus the rules of religious orthodoxy. From the modern world it's main enemy is science and truth, and from the classical world their main opponent is wisdom and discipline. Postmodernism wants to defy everything new and old and live without boundaries, without rules, without logic and novelty spirtualism fits the bill for the pure chaos they seek from the heights of convenient society and fast-food culture. They will do, say and believe anything for entertainment purposes.

I've had prophetic dreams and still do to this day, other people are psychic, the visions come from somewhere not our minds. Where do they come from? Allow me to share, when I was in my early 30's my dreams kept putting me on construction sites. Many dreams the same thing, having to walk on planks because there's water and rubble everywhere. Eventually I got really pissed off because construction sites are not the prettiest of areas. I don't know how long, how many of the same repetitive dream, but it was just often.

Then one day I purchased a franchise to offer a service to both home owners and construction companies. It was only then that the dream made sense. I sold that franchise and made good money, which I then used for something else and made more. Where did the dream come from?

Later, after returning to Zambia which was a big mistake, I was visiting my grandmother in Durban and sleeping in her room, of course in a separate bed. I would quietly explore my laptop while she slept peacefully. Then one night she jumped up and told me to check on the old dame across the passage because she is going to die. I tucked her in to bed and told her it was just a bad dream. But her dream unsettled me, so the next day I went across to find out how she was doing. She said no problem except she had a slight cold. I asked if she needed anything from the store. Nope nothing she was happy. The next day she was dead. When I asked my grandmother about her dream she had not recalled it until I brought it up. Where do the notifications come from? be it from a dream or psychic visions.

We know nothing until we step over the threshold from life to invisible life. There are people who, often family members, we have a strong connection to and others we do not. I believe those we have strong connections to, we will see them again

Enough from me, I'm just too bloody old to know anything. sad flower

We really need to get a move on with aritifical intelligence. The machine must to a great extent run the material world for us before humanity completely defaults on self-indulgence, novelty and fun. There must be a great intelligence capable of the logic and this intelligence does not necessarily need to be human.

Hello from across the Pond in the Nordic North!
Chesney (Richard?) always replies to himself - as do other people ... It's as if he's continuing his running thought. I, for one, appreciate that he does it. Then I can read one message and see what his previous thought was. Some of which are quite extraordinary.

Carry on, everyone! dancing
