In SW Colorado, you can walk around day or night without a problem. Other than slipping on the ice, that is.
That is in my little town of 600 or the big city of 20k not far away. Just watch out for feral females with dogs there.

I live in the suburbs of Plymouth, when i am in the UK, the suburbs are peacefu and quite safe. The city centre is safe in the afternoon and evening but into clubbing time it gets quite busy and more dangerous especially in the infamous Union Street, and the red light district.
All in all it's ok, but I like to traveland have lived in many different countries.
