How do you think our country looks? Are there people walking on cloaks everywhere, are their mills anywhere, how about tulips and other flowers? Are we all cycling or what? I'm just curious, and maybe I can help to take prejudices away?

Yes tulips, windmills, wooden shoes, and little boys with their fingers in dykes. That last part didn't come out exactly right.

I like your country, I remember eating in a seaside cafa, close to us were 8-10 guys, that looked like you, they were drinking beer, and having a good time... I kept hearing... hoi, hoi, hoi... ...

Never been, ,but I know some who have, airport is the best they've been to ,really really well organised and efficient... and they've been to loads of them....but one of them was really really ill with food poisoining picked up in Spain..a really nasty dose too....and no one....not one single pub, restaurant or hotel would let him use the bathroom .....and ye charge a really sick person an absolute arm and leg for tap water....so not only mean spirited twoards someone who was really ill...but stingy too.....
Sorry..and I genuinely don't want to offend you.....but that's how myself and a few others see your country. after that person's experience.....Here in Ireland we never charge for tap water..and if someone's that sick we'd offer hellp....go above and beyond...so we were all rather shocked at how your country's folk behaved...sorry

That's correct, we're not very tolerant to foreigners, guess who spoiled that? People from Morocco, Turkey and Eastern Europe. About 30 years back your friend would have been welcome by most of the people. When I was a postman I got the cramps in my stomach and people didn't want to let me use their toilet. It was raining cats and dogs, and finally I walked around in dirty pants. Wtf, when I was in the UK and I asked for help, people were almost fighting to be the first one to give me the help I needed.

Inthewoods: Probably hooray, I think they were celebrating something, because they toasted with their beers...
Well, we have a good tradition of beerbrewing overhere, but lately more and more people are producing their own beer, my brother is, maybe I will too someday.
