yesterday I trimmed a tree in front of my house
2 birds were building their nest
but this is Florida, hurricane season starting this coming June
around 6pm I heard like thud coming from my sliding doors
I took a look, these 2 birds were attacking me
I destroyed their home, they took revenge
strange, but really happened, just yesterday.

yes, I read recently some birds would recognized a face that did bad to them.

but I wouldn't like branches or the whole tree falling over my house if a hurricane hit us.

2 years ago, Irma hit us big time with fury.

My sister lived through a hurricane in Florida. I can remember her chaining down the outside furniture on the balcony...

Birds have similar characteristics to humans, so has most animals and sea-life...The evolution gap stops in places...

Interesting - So - What species of Bird were they ? Living near the sea I feed a pair of Seagulls in particular - The Pair nest nearby every year on a House roof. But none of them attack me at my bungalow even when the babies are born - They come within a foot or so when I feed them and I feed them all year round.

Would the sliding door be all glass by any chance..or a highly reflective surface.?? There's no way the bird's would be attacking your door out of revenge....probably can't see the glass and just flew into it....or mix up the shiny surface for water....and went for a drink....sad to hear you destroyed their nest though...

they might just be seeing a reflection of themselves too..and think it's an invading bird....so go flying at it...

Little birds here spend ages pecking at themselves in the wing mirrors of my car...and hop across the car windscreen to get to the other mirror and start pecking again....they think it's another bird...it's comical to watch the antics they get up to...

Yep.

That's why it's so important to know what you're doing when you raise a parrot.

probably didn't get a Cracker!
That's crazy that the parrot was trained like that. They are smart animals.

Maybe they held him at the animal shelter until he goes to trial

laugh
