Has anyone ever noticed (I'm sure many have) that when a man gets mad/angry for whatever reason, it's ok for them to be mad and women can't say *hit about it, but when a woman gets mad/angry for whatever reason, we are told to quit our *itching, get over it!

Women are labeled as nags while the men mostly get away with it because they THINK it's acceptable and ok.

very mad

Back in the day sigh when a woman complained about something men would say......she's on the rag. very mad Maybe they still say it dunno

If I was as strong as Merc is I would have put that guy down on the ground. I don't promote violence but there are some things that make me really angry.

Some men don't find it acceptable for a woman to have an opinion least of all to complain.

If they allowed women to have an opinion they would lose the idea that women are equal to men. Men just ain't gonna have that. They believe they were born to be superior to all females.

Well, that doesn't float my boat.snooty

Melody1671: Well... I have to say if the man I loved treated me like that or talked to me like that, he would be gone for good... I believe RESPECT is above everything in a relationship... And if he does that, ONCE, he will keep doing it... If it was ANY man, I would be very decent and classy but I give you my word he would feel a huge sword, deep in his back... You can be very hurtful without being indecent or using any "bad" words...
You are right about taking the high road. That is more "lady like", That's good on you. I do believe in karma anyway.

Basically, I was meaning in general, my EX husband would do it and I've heard other's saying it to their girlfriends, or just over-hearing/witnessed it or even seen it in particular movies.

I believe in karma, too...
And that´s why you or any woman has to be VERY CLEAR from the beginning of a relationship on what she is willing to accept from the man and viceversa... Males are not better than females and females are not better than males... We both complement each other perfectly... And as I said, RESPECT is fundamental in any kind of relationship, more so when you allow that other person to be part of your most intimate world...

Yes, back in the day I remember the phrase "on the rag", but what SOME men don't realize is that it goes both ways.

I can see Merc now, that woman is a warrior!

I once read something to the effect that how you treat yourself, is how you will be treated.

And I can´t agree more... If any of us disrespect ourselves we can´t expect anyone not to do the same... Because that´s what we are letting them show (Am I saying it the right way?... Sorry, english is not my native language)... That we don´t deserve to be respected... I am an absolute sweetheart, but I have a very strong personality and NO ONE is allowed to disrespect me in any way... bouquet bouquet

I reckon it all comes down to how we say things & the tone in which such words are conveyed.

thumbs up thumbs up wave

You hit on something Merc. The tone. We can't show tone on a computer screen. People often misunderstand what someone says because they can't hear our tone. If the person is in a bad mood to begin with they might read something in a negative way.

Yes, That is so right, many misinterpret something very easily on computers, and I think text is even worst...Just one little word out of place can make a whole new meaning, even if it was just a mistake...I have had that happen a few times...blues laugh

You know when I'm annoyed or aggravated with you when I use what I call, "my kindergarten voice". I use that when I'm trying to speak to someone who has absolutely has no common sense.

I don't have any idea how people who have no common sense, make it through the day much less, their life.laugh dunno
