secretagent09: Cape May, New Jersey is at the southern tip of New Jersey.
I don't like crowds of people or thinking that I have to run around site seeing everything.
In Cape May you can enjoy the ambiance of the area as well as the ocean waves rushing up to the shoreline.
Victorian houses with wrap-around porches, clean beach, small town shopping, the breeze coming off the Atlantic Ocean.
I agree. Cape May is beautiful. Only been there once during summer. It was a lovely day out. Loved the cherry water ice there as it was so hot. My friend asked a cop which was the best way out to the freeway. He told him and then the cop said to my friend "Love your T Shirt" He had an "Eagles" T shirt on.....I've still got a book re The Jersey Devil, not read it yet though.
Bnaughty: I went to Plymouth once and it was full of these weird alien like humans with bald heads and no expression on their faces, they wore sunglasses too
yeah I bumped into that lot too ,, they are like weirdos....
GeneralBeacon: Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan.
I've been to the Devils Kitchen, part of the traverse of Glyder Fawr a mountain in Norh Wales. A tremendous walk which includes traversing, the Devils KItchen, The Castle of the Winds and Bristly Ridge. When I explained the route to a friend on the way up there once, he replied, "those names remind me of my Mrs."
Hell's kitchen is great if you can run into any old mobsters with stories of the Westies ( Irish gang ) and the Italian mafia. They all claim to have killed someone or were in the hierarchy. Some are still around or members of their families. Crime is picking up again... yet not as bad as East Harlem. In EH if you can make it through the 25th Precinct area you can survive any war zone in the Middle East. Not really very scenic ... still lots of unusual history.
