I stopped fishing some 30 years ago .is it cruel?
well there are not many merciful ,compassionate ways to kill... or catch and release

Agreed, but now we have it butchered and wrapped by the supermarket, it might be an idea for people to have at least one hunt to see what you have to do to an animal.

Well, fishing is expensive in the Netherlands these days. You have to be a club member from the area where you are fishing. And go 5 meters to the left into another area, you have to be member of the fishingclub there also. Else you can get a fine of about 150 Euro's and they take your fishing stuff.
And you ain't allowed to take any fish home. A clubmembership can cost you somewhere around 30 euro's.
Set all the pigs, cows, and other cattle free, and hunt your own animal, give everybody a gun.
