Hi Ali. Yes, I’m absolutely certain they feel both physical and emotional pain. If you get the chance, watch “Greyfriar’s Bobby”. Older ( 1960’s) version. It is the true story of a Skye terrier owned by a very poor, old man. When he dies, the townspeople cannot get Bobby to leave his master’s grave.
