galrads: Have you ever noticed this book you speak of has survived Millenia and translations to still have one writing style.
Well thats an argument that is hard to beat (“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.) Dont get me wrong here I am a believer in God -no questions about it -but I do have a problem with -his self proclaimed representatives on earth

I usually only have problems with the judgmental ones.
themirror: human is immortal, already, because has a soul. but whoever takes the mark, sealed his/her fate. that is the ultimate trial, for humans.
The question of the existance of soul will always be asked, it's as much a mystery as the everlasting question about the existance of God/Gods imo.....
"Psyche is the Greek word for soul and etymologically had twin roots: one the butterfly whose mysterious, beautiful, but elusive permutations metaphorically dramatise our experience of soul; and the other, from the verb 'to breath,' is an analog of the invisible wind which enters at birth and departs at death. Psyche or soul is simply our word for the mysterious process through which we experience the movement towards meaning and as far as we know, ours is the only species which feels driven to find meaning. We may stand in relationship to soul only through the imaginary world of the psyche, whether conscious or not, comprehensible or not. While we may seek it through ego-driven venues ranging from theology to music to romantic love, we are more frequently pulled down to the swamplands where we least want to sojourn. Such descents are proof of the ubiquity, autonomy and essential mystery of the soul. While the idea of soul may be too amorphous for many, we must retain it in order to honour its ambiguity, its elusiveness. Whether soul is in fact there is unimportant. What matters is that in such venues one may experience the depth, the intimations of mystery, which constitutes soul."
Why do some faiths say their unexplainable beliefs are the real McCoy, but invalidate other faiths’ unbelievable beliefs? It’s spinning the “my fantasy is true...yours isn’t”. All the religions of the world have impossibilities, as we know them, anyway, in their doctrine. Who REALLY knows who is right?
Academic investigation isn’t blasphemy. The Pope is believed by followers to be infallible. Yet this is contrary to scripture. (“There is none righteous, no, not one”.) in fact, the very existence of The Pope is in direct opposition to Christianity. By the same token, The United States being “ free” is anecdotal, at best. Much of what we do, and our laws and how they’re interpreted, are in direct opposition to what we said we wanted when developing America. We’ve become what we fled. Religions have become the very oxymorons of the intent and purpose. It is not blasphemy to call a spade a spade...and, get this, I AM a believer...it’s just that I see it as personal, unique, and unlike any others’. It’s different because it’s SUPPOSED to be different. There is not one butterfly. There are hundreds of species of butterflies.
It means pick a winner. One God is more intelligible to all life on earth before you rationalise that away to no God. An argument that is if anything too intelligible for all life on earth. It's just not common sense.

any religion is based on false gods. there is no hard proof for God's existence, it's all a big lie to keep the people happy while they have nothing while the jews and other rich people are laughing their asses off about us stupid believers who even give them our money, money we have worked for very hard while we barely can survive.
Imagine you know the exact etymology of the word "god". When you look around today you see lots of things and persons that are worshipped. If these do not fit the original definition of the word "god", it would make sense to call them "false gods" or "fake gods". You should probably not use capital G.
In Germanic languages, such as English, the expression "false god" is probably based on the Gothic bible, which uses "galiugaguþ" to translate words such as "eidolos". I suppose the Goths didn't use icons or direct prayers to statues, so the translator may have had to do a coinage.
