people used to survive on bread and a piece of cheese...but it's looking like even those products...that used to be the very basics...are starting to become...beyond people's budgets and if you are not searching out the reasons for this situation....it's time you did so...cause its communism staring you in the face

The problem with the economy comes from poor fiscal policy, in this case, is related to demand/supply. As demands increases and there is a shortage of supply, prices go up. it causes inflation.
Our society is a capitalist . Capitalism works when money circulates, as people work, get paid, and buy crap. Because that flow is slowing down, it creates inflation. The economy is a complex web of chains; break one, it affects all the others chains. that's the problem.
People should not just let politics take over, as "governments" have limited power. Listen and read what macroeconomists or fiscalist say/write !!
dumb as usual. communism is dead long time ago. Thats not the cause !
As much as communists here might expect to be paid to do any mad thing they want in China this isn't like this at all. You do the most disciplined job and live like a pauper to support the economic war effort which is to overtake the west as soon as inhumanly possible.
Well, it's was expected to happen. And finally someone created a crisis and made the overlooked obvious. Nobody is surprised. Or at least they shouldn't be. Things are changing, a bit late but still changing. Get used to it.
On one side we have companies who will gouge all they can. On the other side, fools who will pay whatever is asked. Then you have the smart who compare, shop around and boycott stuff they feel is over priced. Dad went through it after WW1. He predicted it for the US. Every time wages rise, prices go up. Companies win, workers lose. I just looked for chicken necks or backs. Dad got tired of dog food prices. He decided buying necks and backs that mom boiled for the dog was cheaper and better. Ten cents a pound. Plus mom could make soup if she wanted the broth. Guess the price now. 1.50 to 2 per pound. Like wings..once a toss aside, now a dollar for one because someone pushed the idea. I can buy chicken thighs or drumsticks for 1.50 or less. I have gotten them for .89. So markets think I am going to pay that for bones? I did see what might be the answer. Necks sold for crab bait. This country is so slewed it is unbelievable. Fancy bread..$4. Keep it. And as a farmer, I know it isnt them getting rich. Nor the grocer.

€3:20cent for pan of bread ,last year it was €1:50 block of cheese €4;00 last year €2:00,
Inflation back in the double digits today as there really is no alternative to being something like 20% poorer than we were. But at least this will give youth a future, a chance to get on the property ladder.
We can't afford the Homer Simpson middle class anymore, the life of Riley for people who are crap. And we should have collapsed after 2008 because now it's even harder to equal the talents of middle classes in the far east.
Contrary to what our governments say , Russia has managed to break our economy since the Ukraine war began . Food prices escalating, energy bills nearly doubled, not to mention the pound being devalued against the dollar & inflation hitting the roof ! I could go on , but I think you get my point .
