I don't know. It's more general than that - assuming things about people I know nothing about. The complete stranger will be intelligent, will not be a bad person and so on. Basically projecting myself onto the unknown.------ This thread is Archived ------

Trusted a friend I had for over 15 years.Too one ( that I knew of) breach of confidence that made me walk away...I don't regret it...but regret calling her a best friend for 15 years.

Nobody get me started Oops too late. Just recently, I hired a niece of a couple I know well and respect and could always count on.
I made the MISTAKE of paying her in advance, because she didn't have a coat or boots, etc.. (she came from another state).
She never showed up, or called or texted or sent a message.
I hope soon I will forgive her, but I will never give her another chance , or talk to her or pay anyone in advance again. (No matter what story they tell)
