I have been living alone and have done so for about the past 20 years.
In that time I have had a few relationships, one of which lasted quite a while and he lived-in for several days, then at his house for several days, then with me for several days.
During the times at my house, sure, it was nice, but also I appreciated time by myself, perhaps because I've become so used to living on my own and needing my own personal space and time.
If you live alone, and have done so for some considerable time, do you sometimes feel that singledom has made you hard to live with/move in with?

I wouldnt say hard to live with, in general ... except for my boarders:
Please
o lock door always twice – pull handle if it seems difficult
o NEVER open the front door, unless you know its your friend and you checked through the SPYHOLE and talked to them.
o Don’t answer questions to anyone approaching you in the house.
o wash pots after use, dry them and put them away
o clean kitchen surfaces after use
o load your dishes into the dish washer properly.
o leave bathroom door always OPEN.
o put toilet seat down and flush toilet
o clean toilet after use!
o keep yourself clean – like shower and use deodorant.
o if hot during day – shut all windows – so it stays cool inside.
o Shut balcony door at night – in case of rain
o Fruit peels (attracts flies) and cigarette buds into rubbish on balcony
o Buy LIQUID washing detergent if you want to wash clothes
o Buy toilet paper when its your turn
o Turn of the light when you go to sleep
o Replenish Olive Oil, instant Coffee etc if you use it
o Vacuum your room once a week
o Water the plants in your room
o If you have someone visiting introduce them to me before.
o If you want someone to stay the night discuss it with me before.
Since I clean most of the house I would appreciate if you could always empty the dish washer once its finished and take the rubbish down.
If you need washing done, let me know when you have a full load, so I can switch the washing machine on.

I get that. I would love to live with someone too, but they have to bend and compomise a bit because I would have to for their sake. I too miss the partnership in my life.
I'm actually considering paying someone to stay here......I'm so difficult to live with, my dog left home, and took his basket with him....the last straw was when I insisted he flush after using the loo........paws slip on chrome, y'know....

Would you like to move to America and be my roomate??!!! Your rules are just like mine! No, we are not difficult to live with. Common sence and caring about yourself, others and your environment, groom you to do these things NATURALLY... Without being asked to!!!

I have lived alone for almost 14 years with the exception of 8 months....So as long as you:
1. Watch my shows.... 2. Listen to my music.... 3. Haved your own t.v. for watching sports... 4. Pick up after yourself... 5. Aren't a morning person... 6. Love my dog.... 7. Love my teens.... 8. Help with housework... 9. Do windows.... AND 10. Don't drink all my beer....
