solitare: 'Soulmate'?? As an old saying goes, 'There ain't no such animal.' I've abandoned my search for 'the Truth' and a 'soulmate' and decided to look for a good Fantasy; trouble with Fantasies is that they or ourselves, really, are just never as good as what we fantasize about. Tried 'window shopping' in Amsterdam and a few other places...yuk! %) No, this Life does not come with any guarantees of ever finding someone or even anyone at all; could you imagine what kind of world this could be like if there were a someone for everyone...%D
<<<< ~ Soulmate...found her Soulmate...
Don't stop believing...and when you least expect it, you may find her... Best Wishes!
Galactic_bodhi: What? Like we're socks or something?
We have karmic entanglement. Nothing more. Some people suit us better than others, and some people we've known for so long, transcending this life, that it seems like the classic idea of a "soul-mate".
But energy, and thus consciousness, is quantum, and comes in discrete bursts and packages. Wherever you go, and whoever you're with, there you are, alone in your own head. So much for that.
Nice fantasy, invented by Hallmark to sell Greeting Cards.
I've been doing alot of soul searching and I honestly think it is possible for me to be so compatible with more than one person (not necessarily at the same time).
This thread is could be like one of the most fascinating ever. I just reread this thread. I totally forgot I even posted in this thread
I've read all the posts again and I was like "wow"! This thread is so interesting with all the different perspectives coming from so many diverse or maybe not so diverse people.
My honest take is that whatever you believe in regards to soulmates, is ultimately true in your way of perceiving it...or in your world or universe. All the posts in this thread are part of the whole. Isn't the whole the sum of its parts?
Thanks everybody for sharing I liked everybody's view and I really love soulmate discussions. Soulmate=Kris Kringle
StressFree: I've been with a few soulmates in my lifetime. It did not work out. I've met a few potential soulmates, that did not work out. So I know for a fact that sooner or later I will actually stay together with one of my multiple soulmates....and I am tired of meeting soulmates that I have already been with from other lifetimes...there is nothing left to evolve on that level, but at times, the reconnection of a past soulmate who should not be with me this lifetime feels awesome....
