Quite a long list there! Ireland is full of *old soul*... but as for today, I think I'd pick Branagh, your No. 11! grin wink

Whilst I am sure there are more...this one person comes to mind right now (born on the Island, not my town though!)

Edward De Bono

**Edward de Bono is regarded as the leading international authority in the field of creative thinking, innovation, and the direct teaching of thinking as a skill.

Edward de Bono creates thinking techniques that are simple, practical, and powerful. Facilitators, project managers, team leaders, and many others have experienced his thinking skills training courses.**

The above was an excerpt from the following url:

phoenix: Elley my good man have a pint of the black stuff on me

Of course, and how could we forget the famous black stuff. On the self same subject, they say it tastes better back in the old country (I agree) and it may intrigue you to know that the Welsh these days claim fame for having invented the black stuff. Allegedly Arthur Guiness came across a pub on the island of Anglesy (he was en route to Dublin via Holyhead) where they sold it and nicked the idea. Whatever, it,s lovely stuff...in fact off to have one now. Cheers.wine

I love Phoenix, he has that wonderful Irish charm.

Nicholas Cage? Yes, I would lick him all over.

TLJ - If NC did not want me.

The Irish are wonderful people, great sparkle, wit and kindness, I was born there. I love stroking my own ego!

Antonio Banderas, our Malaga man. Not living in Malaga any longer, but he is really the only "local" famous I know of. With him is a band of actors of course, but know no one by name.

Then we have Flower and Gongman not far from here applause

Blackpool.

When I was home this summer, I said to my brats, lets have a weekend away and you can choose.

They choose Blackpool.

It is for the soft underbelly of Britain, but we had a fantastic time, we loved it, laughed on the donkeys, ran over the beach, went up the tower, had fish and chips, went on the Big one, we had a blast and caught the trams all the way down the prom.

I grew up near there, it was a holiday place for me as a child. To bring back those memories with my own children was wonderful, and we have never laughed so much.

Happy days.

Kenneth B is a potato face, and I think his acting is overrated.

But Phoenix, pride of place on your list for me has to be Van the Man. I love him and have seen him play live many times.

As for my list, wouldn't know where to start. I come from Liverpool, the list would go on forever!
