I wouldn't even waste time telling him goodbye. Seems he took care of that himself.

I am sorry this happened to you...handshake

Queenieno6: Honesty is best with a brief explanation.

If your feelings have changed or maybe have not really developed for that person, then you can explain that you want the best for that person. And they really deserve someone who feels the same about them as they do. "I like you as a person/friend, but I don't have romantic feelings for you, and to lead you on, would be unfair, and I respect you too much to do that to you".

If after a brief explanation the person is constantly trying to communicate or more so like a stalker, any communication (positive or negative) from you would be like a glimmer of hope.

Happened to me, makes me really think who I date now. I gave a very brief explanation to a very strange man and broke all ties over 3 1/2 years ago. The man scares me to death. I just received an email from this psycho guy on 8-30-08, before that it was in April of 2008, before that February 2008. I have NEVER returned an email, spoken to him on the phone or answered a text message since I broke it off with him in 'early' January of 2005. I changed home email addresses but I can't change my work email address. And our server puts the mail in the "JUNK" folder. I wish it could just bounce it back to him.

Again, ANY communication would be a glimmer of hope if they heard from you.

Good luck, no matter who it is, it is very hard to break up with someone. And be careful!

Queenieno6

Thanks

bamabulldog08: Face to face like an adult, be honest and strait forward. Make yourself clear and don’t equivocate!

Thank u, I totally agree with ur beliefs - as I just had this done to me, with no explanation, no contact, communication - to me, it's disrespectful, inconsiderate and cowardly - i prefer to be told off, than nothing at all . . . please, have the consideration to see the situation from both sides and end it positively (if that exists).

Exactly, what I would say. Be calm use I statements not you statements. Be polite, respectful but don't let any guilt trips be put on you.
