I haven't seen some on my friends from Ohio on yet and am very concerned.

Please come in and let me know you are safe and alright.

Anna please let Daniel know you are safe.

Thank you everyone for baring with my plea. I know how hard we in Northeast Ohio were hit and am concerned. Thank you.lips

I have a cousin that lives in N.W. Indiana, she sent pics of the flooding there, said they had 10" of rain. A very close friend of mine lives in Newton Falls, OH, he called me yesterday to ask about mom but did not mention and bad storms in the Akron area..

Hopefully, all are OK..bouquet

I used to run up in the Newton Falls area. It isn't to far from me. Only the next county over. He probably was affected by the rain over the weekend with the river being right there. Last night was all wind, at least in my area. I can guarantee there are plenty of trees down there but obviously they have power because the schools were open. My mom lives in that county and she says they have some limbs down, a couple of signs and on street light but other than that her neighborhood is fine. I am sure your friend is safe hun. hug

I'm very close to you...SW PA...and we got hit too. Some of those in OH might not have power back yet, or might have more damage. I also hope all are OK, though. I was lucky. No real damage here. A friend of mine had a tree limb come down on his dad's car (he lives with his parents).

Yes Aliquippa, Pa. is right around my area. A decent drive but not that far. Glad to hear you are ok there. I had a few limbs come down and my outdoor fireplace looks like someone put a stick of dynamite in it, other than that I was very lucky. My neighborhood was spared for the most part. The rest of the town is in a lot worse shape.

Ship......I am glad you are doing alright in Florida. I know you can get them bad there. I was there for Andrew in 92. Funny my son Andrew was born in 92 also. LOL

I hope somechick is safe I am a bit worried now. Usually I see her in the forums by now.

I'm thinking most of those that are not here today are experiencing a power loss in their neighborhood. I'm keeping the good thoughts.

Me too. I have to think this way or it will drive me up a wall. I have a friend that is really worried also. I want to ease his worry but can't until I know something myself.

Yeah, about an hour hike. One of my buddies just came over to help me clean up the furniture and grill from my patio...looked like a big hand came along last night and just swept it off of there. I was lucky 'cuz none of it was damaged, and it didn't come through my sliding glass door. That had been my worry. Trees were coming down, too, but I didn't lose any of mine. I'm counting my blessings.

Glad you're safe down there, Ship. My thoughts were with all of those in the Gulf areas that are being hit hard, even as I was being hit with more than I ever had, because I knew that I was only getting a minor taste of what they're getting.

My prayers and blessings are with all. angel

Still hoping my cousin made her flight. I haven't heard yet. She lives in Galvaston. She was flying in for the funeral. Maybe saved her by having to come home.

You can send that rain our way. We've been in a drought for most of this year. The ground is like concrete and trees are dropping their leaves already. I've mowed my lawn exactly once so far this year. That might be a good thing considering the price of gas.

Yes Painsville has a nice fair every year. Glad to hear all is well. You are right of course. The 70+mph winds that hit us is nothing compared to the power of the hurricanes and such. Makes me worry no less for friends and family.

I've had to mow mine three times...and I guess I'm getting ready for a fourth. rolling on the floor laughing I agree with you about the price of gas.

Haven't gotten much rain most of the summer here, either. Towns 10 mins away will get it, but not me. One day I was horribly teased...got (literally) 5 drops on my windshield on the way home and thought Mama Nature was going to water my gardens...and then it rained no more for weeks!

Our wind speeds were slightly less than that, and I'm very grateful for surviving w/o damage. No electric here for 4 hours, but there are places nearby (just down the road) that still don't have any.

I was driving home last night after I dropped my sons off with their father, and saw fire in some tree branches above me with a transformer right next to it. Called 911 to report it, and they answered just as the transformer blew. The area below that is where there isn't any power.

Ironically, while my side of the street had no power-across the street, down the street, and the street behind me did. If I ever move, I'm checking out the powerline grid! I want to be in one of the places that keeps power!
