As most here know, I wrecked my Peterbilt 2 weeks ago tonight.
I had a small injury to my left hand and am awaiting surgery.
I am out of work and soon will collect disability and down time from the insurance. I thank God I am alive and that I had excellent insurance. They are paying 100% of everything, $0 deductable!!!

I am unable to do the things around the house, like lifting and mowing my 3 acres. I am blessed that my girlfriend is moving in tomarrow, as God told her that I need help. She came over today and mowed most of the lawn.thumbs up

When my hand heals, I still have no truck to drive so I can return to work. I will have to work for someone else. With the instability of the American economy at the moment, who knows what the future holds?
I am blessed to have plenty of land and a good garden. Two refrigerators and freezers and the big deep freezer are full of food, as well as the pantry and cupboards. I will survive for awhilegrin

Sooooo very sorry this has happened to you Manyfeathers!!!!!
I wish I was there to care for you. It's sad that bad things happen to good people. I pray you will feel better soon and that you will receive the healing necessary. If you don't feel right about the doctors decision, get a second opinion. Do what you know in your Spirit, is the right thing to do.

Many healing lips 's sent your way!!!bouquet

Hi Guys,

Just letting you know, The recovery will take longer than first anticipated according to the surgeons & will be out of action until February 2009, at least.

Meanwhile, I spend my time following the Global meltdown of the world financial markets.

cheers Manyfeathers.

Manyfeathers, so good to see you back. I barely got to know you before your accident. You have a great attitude which will help you a great deal. Since you have done healing ceremonies you know you must talk with the creator. The healing process has begun and I will ask my friends to have a sweat for you. hug

I am very grateful you're alive too! I hope and pray life gets better for you. Almost 2 years ago, I was in a accident that left me badly hurt and I was 6 months pregnant with my son. We both survived. My husband of 8 years, did not. My son's a miracle. I went thru horrific depression and pain. Not only physically but emotionally as well. I was broken and devastated. Today, my son and I are healthy and very happy. I am blessed to have found love again. I pray for you're complete healing and happiness as well. May you be blessed on your journey thru life.teddybear

I'm so sorry to hear about your accident, Many Feathers. Find something that you can physically do until you're healed enough to do your normal activities.

hey manyfeathers
i missed this thread first time around

i have all my discs crushing
they are being replaced little by little
but my height will never be fully restored

i was crippled and went 3 yrs w/o a diagnosis

yes it is a very interesting and personal and ever changing journey...

i am glad you get to experience it and it sounds like you have a decent prognosis

i will be holding you in mind and would welcome the opportunity to listen or share in mail.

it is a unique thing to be very close to death or to confront being physically different-forever.

but i will say-i am grateful for the internal changes.

wink

best to youhandshake
