Sorry to hear about your army buddy Ship. Anyways, Las Vegas is an awesome city. My brother and father live there, and I love visiting them in Vegas. I love how everybody is from somewhere else. I've met only like 2 people who actually grew up in Vegas.
Good luck there and enjoy the sunshine. I'm sure you can survive the summer heat since you've been living in Florida. At least it's a dry heat in Vegas in the summer time.
