arabella: You want to see people run?

Try being the parent of a severely handicapped child.

The wheelchair is usually enough to make most guys look away......

That's not true. I wouldn't run.

lusciousmile: How old was she and her kids?

She was 10 years older than me, and her 3 kids were infant(diapers) through 6yrs old.

She had the kids at 2 or 3 year intervals(time peroids).

babyvixon: What I am wondering is why men run from a single parent? I am a strong willed independant woman, I am not understand????

No....!!!!!Hang on a minute......I was in a relationship with a single Lady parent, and became a Step father to a wonderful step daughter, who I deeply loved, and still do....unfortunately the relationship failed and both parties were at fault.....both my step daughter and I are still very close to this day.
Another point to ponder about,I was a Solo 'Male' parent once, and many Woman were 'Turn Off' by 'Me' as a full time Father, and I don't mean this in a 'Nasty' way,I made it very plain and very clear right at the start, that my Children needs came first....and quite a few Ladies couldn't handle that.....Food for thought, don't you think....????

Depends on the woman.

Personally I don't care how many children a person has.

Like I do not expect a person to think about how many I have.

Appreciate and accept that I have responsibilites, but walk away because I had children?

I would wave him bye bye.

I see something more attractive about a single mother then a single. Not sure what it is.

I mean this as no disrespect to you,but as it ever occurred to you that 'Single Fathers' have the same problem as well....Food for thought....Hmmmmmmmmm

What I am wondering is why 'Woman' run from a single parent? I am a strong willed independent 'Man', I do not understand????

You are correct John. I have run a few times from single fathers. I had my kids very young and they are now in their late twenties. Many men of my age are still looking after their teenage, sometimes younger kids, and I don´t want to go through that again.

I do love kids, but now I´m looking for someone without dependent kids. It has to be that way because I have a full-time career and cannot devote time to bring up kids again.

I agree! thumbs up Look at it from our perspective. I don't want some child that was left for the mother to take care of because the original father couldn't take responsibility. If I want a child I want to have one from my part of my own gene pool.

Tater: I agree

and to the OP. you say you are strong willed, and very independent..

which are good qualities, if the strong willed doesn't enter the ( I'm always right) catagory..

Some women that claim to be independent, are really just a totally self-centered B#tch.. not saying you are, just telling you the truth in alot of cases...JMO

men do not run from single parents.....only single MOTHERS. Many of them are single parents!!!!doh

BTW....it's what ANY intelligent man would do. I know I wouldn't want someone else's children interfering with trying to form a relationship with a woman. Relationships are too difficult these days without the added burden of "they aren't YOUR kids, leave them alone!"
