Lagoona22: Yes, I do...unequivocally....preferably 12 year-old Scotch....
I am very partial to a good drop of vodkas myself.. Seen many a scary thing once I've reached the bottom too...nothing like vodka goggles to make me believe in anything...
trish123: My daughter gave me such a book a couple of yrs before the event - she believed but Im a bit scared of reading - maybe a bit of self doubt - just dont know.........
They are a must read, trish. The University of Arizona has written a book detailing the experimental methodology and the results, which validated Allison Du Bois' gifts. So to be able to hear directly from her, only leaves one, let's say, changed.
dcj22: Do you believe that spirits are among us, that they visit us?
Of course! And it's partly through their guidance that I've become the kind of man I am... And I'm equally sure that meeting Jackson was more than just a random occurence.
When I moved to Tennessee, one of my first projects was to clear 25 years worth of buckbrush and saplings from Jackie's family cemetary, located just down the finger ridge in front of the house, in which some of the graves date back to the mid-1800's. It was laborious, back breaking work, but I enjoyed it. It felt good to do it. She brought me a cold drink one day as I was nearing the end of the work and commented "I think you've made friends down here." I said "I'm sure I have. God knows I've been given enough advice on how to swing an axe while I've been down here!"
I think anyone who doesn't believe that spirits are amongst us has lost sight of something very important...
naturalcdn: Here in Taiwan, people seem to have an eclectic approach to religion encompassing Buddhism and Taoism and special folk customs. There is a ghost month that is usually around August (exact time is based on the lunar calendar). This is a time where people give offerings to ghosts that perhaps have no family to worship them. In the middle of the month, you will see people putting out tables in front of their houses that are filled with all kinds of food. They also burn what is know as "ghost money." These offerings are meant to ensure that the ghosts remain happy. It's really interesting.
yeah thats true. in traditional china they would burn a lot of different things on alters, including houses made out of straw or flowers for the spirits to live in, food for them to eat, and occasionally animals to keep them company. the "ghost money" has other uses too, such as when a new child is born some parents (traditionally) would throw the money on the ground when walking outside with their child to protect them from the Kami, (this last part is only in japan i believe) the ghost money works somewhat like what the greeks and romans did when they would kill someone they would put coins over their eyes so they would have "boat fare" to get over the void (apparently in a boat???) into the afterlife
YES!! Saw them when I was close to death 4-1/2 years ago. And, I received a "sign" from a good friend who passed away on Nov. 29 (as did her daughter and her mother!)
I hope that you have found the peace and comfort that such encounters elicit.
There have been to many occurence for many years in my family not to believe. I have had a few of my own but there a four that have always stood out. I had a freind die in an accident the night before I was to fly to AZ. I didn't find out about it until I landed and called home. I was unable to get back in time but he came to me in my dreams for the next five days. I had told him yrs before that he would die young and in an accident. When my grandpa passed away in 1998 he died at about 3am at that very momment I woke up with a instant migraine and a rise in my blood pressure. It was like a therm. being stuck in very hot water. When I was told later the morning that he had past I asked what time. It was at the same time that had occurred to me. That very night I had made the choose to leave an abusive relationship but was not sure how I was going to do it. My ex thought I was doing the family things , which I was, but I was also arranging what I needed to so I could leave. The big one though was when my oldest son was born I had complications and I nearly gave my life to my son. When I returned to the room after an emergency c-section I looked at my son and told him that his greatgrandpa was there with us. This is the one that past in 1998. My mom asked what I had said I told her he was there that I could feel him. Once we were stable he was gone. When youngest son was born early I felt him again when I went to the NICU unit that my son was transfered to. The night before he was to go home he forgot to breathe and started to turn blue. My gandpa had a medical background. So, I believe that he was there to take care of me and my boys when noone else could.

If these spirits brought you to your Jackson, then I'm happy. You are the most incredible couple. I'm so happy you've found your love. And yes, my friend. I do believe they guide us. I believe my mom has been guiding Emily and me all along.
