MERRY CHRISTMAS AND ALL THE BEST FOR THE NEW YEAR
To all of you.
As I crouch here sullenly staring at the snow-covered windows of my house, I'm sending all my best albeit slightly deranged thoughts to you on your California sojourn, B.

Don't be. It's 47/8C and major storms. Freezing cold and flooding. Warm perhaps by other standards but far from beach weather. SF in the winter is freezing cold and rains constantly.

Just as well we're heading off down to Baja Mexico then. After a very long coach journey, we have a six mile walk to a remote beach on the shores of the Sea of Cortez.

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Wow...is that the time!!!
I'm outa here...Baja or bust
Uh, Baja means lower or below in Spanish. Baja California is attached to Alta or Upper California. They have the same weather we have in Los Angeles/San Diego unless you are going to Cabo which is at the bottom of Baja and is warm. If you're going to La Paz or Loreto or Mulege it will be in the low 70's to the mid 50's at night.

Yes we are going to Cabo, La Paz also. Low 70's sounds like heaven to me right now. Usually go skiing at christmas, more used to -20c so this will make a pleasant change. Anyway, off to meet my traveling partner down the pub, then hang around the airport. We have a 6am flight.
