had this convo at the melbourne meet with a lady ... I told her I'd marry again if I found the right partner ...

we both agreed on the idea that it would be a marriage till the end as divorce is not an option ...

so sincerity would be the major factor in me doing it again ...

A big YEP from me,
it seems to create a bond, an invisable emotion of needing, wanting, and loving partnership that nothing else comes close to....

And that comes from me.... who has been givin` the flick once again....crying crying crying

Sorry to hear that cruiser hug

Also apologies to the romantics above for my cynical take on marriage. I have never married so am not really qualified to comment but.....

My view of marriage was significantly tainted when I was 10 and lived through a particularly bitter divorce of my parents. The affects of which were felt right through my teens and into young adulthood when I might have considered the notion.

The cynic in me from the outside sees a huge money making exercise for many other people involved in creating the big day. I suppose the younger ones fall victim to this more so than the older ones. But isn't it ironic that the cost of services seems to double when a wedding is involved. There's the venue, catering, florists, transport, clothes, gifts for attendants, table decorations and on it goes. And I haven't even mentioned the expected honeymoon to a tropical island.

Then heaven forbid, things go belly up, then there's the solicitors rubbing their hands together and even the real estate agent benefiting from the hasty sale of the family home.

Perhaps a bare foot ceremony in a lush garden surrounded by family and friends with a bbq afterwards and Uncle Tony taking the photos would be just as memorable and the happy couple might even be able to afford a weekend at Byron Bay cheers

I do love a good wedding though and wish all the happy couples love and happiness heart wings if that's what they desire.
