can the single domino step out of line
and break the chain of disasters remain
to stop the predicted event of decline
or are we all end-to-end our own bane

two dominos together whether side-by-side
or end-to-end can easily tumble and collide
a house divided, just as a long domino line
may cascade and descend to face supine

this domino theory of certain doomed end
could be broken mid-line but might depend
on a single person of well pointed face
to find deep courage and step out of place

say stop the incessant rant of displeasure
view all souls with a different stick of measure
that all might have worth in someone's eyes
can be for offended a new found surprise

we all as individuals, group, nation, a race
can treat as we want to be treated in turn
and stop throwing stones to others debase
could be the lesson we are all here to learn
