White

I am wearing white, cause it makes me look bright.
I am wearing white for the people to see
How happy I am having you by my side,
Cause I care too much for you, my dear.

I am wearing white, I look brighter in white.
I look brighter in white, white is color of love,
White is color of life, life is given us once
I am going to share it with you, my dear.

I am wearing white, you’re in white by my side,
Standing here by altar we are wearing whites,
We can dream, we can talk, we can make our plans,
Nothing’s wrong in the way we can while our time.

You’re in white by the altar, I’m in white by your side,
Nothing’s special in what other couples have done.
But this time it is different, slightly amiss,
These are dreams we indulge in – knowing not why, my dear.

This may be a bravado, taking time, playing life,
Making us to believe in a dream ephemeral.
Seems a childish game, played at age not so young,
These are dreams we indulge in – knowing not why, my dear.

Cause I'm wearing white, doesn’t mean I’m your bride,
Wearing white doesn’t make you a groom as if real.
Could it be otherwise – could it be in true life?
These are dreams we indulge in – knowing not why, my dear.
