Ignorance

Don’t know what is the matter with my luck:
I’ve been restricted for no reason I could think of.
Don’t know what is the matter with my heart:
The more I try the outcome is worse than I could think of.
Don’t know what is the matter with my pride:
I could have carried on without trouble I could think of.
Don’t know what is the matter with my life:
The wheel of fortune turns with no direction I could think of.
Don’t know what is the matter with the vows of friends:
Seem to have vanished into air now that I think of.
Don’t know what is the matter with this world of ours,
Or is it me to blame for ignorance now that I think of?!

marikia,
I like the style of this poem. I could feel the sadness. I agree the news and the world can get us down at times. Take care. Blessings! bouquet

Hi Markia

It is true to say that we are all part of the ignorance that contributes to the problems of the world. I guess we can all do better as individuals in order to influence others.

Hi Marikia

Fate bestows her favours and disfavours in the most random and capricious ways imaginable without rhyme or reason. What I do know is that none of us can be certain about the future holds - good or bad.

Wishing you well
