She reminded me of linen and lace I surely imagined Lavender in the air Common when I but a boyish face When vaseing flowers took a flair
Her tender spoken name was Grace She moved agilely with keen intent Gliding silently with little trace Naive but wise and feelings evident
No games...no lies...no arrogant ways She shyly spoke... her words portrayed The truth she spoke each and every day I had thought to go but now I stayed
Openness within her heart...and soul Honesty eminated from dusk til dawn Refreshed my spirit as the day grew old I felt a weakening as my heart grew fond
Yet in her innocence...in her passion An openness I'd never known or seen I came to fall in love in my own fashion Oh such a blessing from a human being
My armour down... my feelings raw A woman at last that finally understood I felt my heart warm and then thaw Just bare it all and please love the good

I'm 'stilllooking' --- too.... (pardon the pun) I come back and reread this every so often -- I think it's a sweet poem... written by a 'sweetie' no doubt...

wow! this stirs the primeval heart of every male, to be understood and appreciated for who we really are, warts and all...,

Well, truth, but sometimes we must play games!
Thank you for sharing this piece of art!
Yes, usually we play the silly games....
and there are no winners.
A Gentleness captures not only Grace but also the poet. Well done!
At least have fun along he way.
