I was laying in bed dreaming last night while A shrewdness of apes walked across my bed Stop I yelled you can't do that But not one would stop and listen
A troop of baboons followed a herd of bison While a drove of bullocks stood by A wake of buzzards flew overhead And a quiver of cobras slithered by
This is too much, I can't take more I shouted again and again A herd of elephants drowned me out As the gaggle of geese waddled by
My bed was a mess as you can imagine Made worse by a band of gorillas They stepped on the eggs from a brood of hens And stirred up a nest of hornets
A pride of lions roared so load They scared the herd of moose The covey of partridges flew away And last to leave was the herd of seals
What a mess left behind The stench was most unbearable If I should wake and it was true I'll need help this time tomorrow
