A Moment in Time

Hanging by a moment in time
This moment stretched forever
Earth below me, sky above
Between them I am floating

Past my ears the wind is rushing
Setting up a fearful howl
Through the midst of clouds I travel
Ever closer seems journey’s end

Pulled the ripcord, nothing happened
Knew my time had finally come
Trees and houses so distinct now
See the house that I call home

Hanging by a moment in time
This moment stretched forever
I can hear the angels sing
Greeting me at heaven’s gate

Had to read this Steve because I wrote a poem with the same title some time back. Despite our cliched titles our poems are very different. Cheers mate. cheers
