What is Love

What is love? someone asked
I think that I might pass on it
Pain in heart, knot in stomach
Waiting for the phone to ring
Sitting here not knowing when
Next we'll get together
What is love? what is this madness
Yet colours bright they are
And music seems much sweeter
Heart beats fast when voice you hear
Of one that love brings nearer
What is love you ask my friend
The reason for us living

"What is love someone asked"
For me it seems all in the past.
A word I no longer understand.
Perhaps from children,
but not from man.

Glad you still have a grasp of it Steve.
