Mary and Me (II)

Mary and me we're sitting here having tea
When a robin built a nest in our tree
Four and twenty blackbirds came sat in our pie
They were joined by Henry the old horsefly
Up climbed some squirrels, one, two, three
Danced round the table and finished with a curtsey
Along came a bear, big, fat and cuddly
Climbed up the tree into our cubby
I looked at Mary and she looked at me
Not again, but we both could see
Living in a tree was just no good
Even if it was a mighty redwood
Now Mary and me we're having tea
We built our home at the bottom of the sea

Well, dear it seems smart to live in a tree, cause you can leaf when you want to! kiss
