Joe is in love with Barbara
Barbara has feelings for Frank
Frank yearns to be with Anna
And Anna thinks she loves Hank

Jennifer's heart aches for James
James is attracted to Nancy
Nancy secretly dreams of Ames
And Ames lusts for Tracey

Andrew has the hots for Brenda
Brenda can only think of Joey
Joey's heart is stuck on Linda
And Linda's soul's reserved for Bobby

Why must love been so complex
Why is it often such a strange stew
Agnes loves to be with Alex
I would give my right arm for you

Does no good to procrastinate
Love will do what it will do
If you would love me damn straight
I would never think to be untrue

About this poem:

Relationships get kinda complicated sometime.
The heart loves who it loves and mostly not
the person that loves them. Just an observation
and perhaps this poem carries it to extremes
to make a point...lol.

Yeh MIke...maybe it all boils down to you
mainly want what you can't have. I see why
people play games sometimes because giving
in too easy takes the attraction away. The
old carrot at the end of the stick eh....

Thanks for your comments Niah. Yeh, perhaps there is not enough romance these days. Takes too long to fall in love and by that time
the person you love has moved on. Don't know other than it ain't
easy. Also life is too complex. Doesn't seem to be enough time to smell the flowers and that is often where love evolves.
