Lunch at Bunol (aka La Tomatina)

Excuse me, yes you waiter
I think you misunderstood
A tomato sandwich is what I ordered
To satisfy my hunger

Juicy, red, tasty tomatoes
Salty and pepper sprinkled on top
But clearly you can see
Between the bread it is not

It seems all over I am wearing
Tomatoes by the dozens
So please, I beg you stop right now
No longer am I hungry

About this poem:
La Tomatina is a food fight festival held on the last Wednesday of August each year in the town of Bunol near to Valencia in Spain. Thousands upon thousands of people make their way from all corners of the world to fight in this 'World's Biggest Food Fight' where more than one hundred metric tons of over-ripe tomatoes are thrown in the streets.

I've heard and seen it on tv
sad that they waste such
precious food
it fills no belly or hunger

brilliant capture of the festival
