i hear you

words sung
on heartfelt strings
amongst the chatter
and forks that ring
but your voice whispers through
the vocal maze
enlightening my ears
steeling my gaze
soothing my soul
to nourish me whole
appeasing the fire
that quells inside
lyrics of gold
you cannot hide
a path well worn
into the night
a journey of passion
a winter's delight .......

@Nu...again...lovely poetry my love...very grateful of the singer's music...sweet voice I agree....it would have been hard to bear the noise from people whose confidence is boosted by alcohol, it was good to have another non-drinker in the room...thank you so much for being there.

it is amazing how the voice and song of a singer can sometimes seem like it is
being sung at that moment just for you, it kind of goes right to your soul and lifts you up.
