the time has come to say goodbye
the end is near no wonder why
i smoked and drank till i was blue
a different time and point of view
i've seen the beauty of this land
the sparkling sea and golden sand
felt the warmth of a woman's love
set it free on wings of dove
watched my sons enter this life
watched them grow and seek out strife
learned what friends meant to me
a lesson to late for me to be
felt the hate of an angry man
felt the love of gentle hand
seen dispise in peoples eyes
learned of colour and its disguise
walked a road of no end
slept on tiles to understand then
every journey i've made or undertook
revealed a beauty which made me look
deeper into all i see
allowing me a full life you see......
