Was it a horrid vision or merely a dream? Did I wake or was that my grisly scream? I was surrounded by demons of huge stature They were terrible evil abhorrant creatures Trapped within a veil of dark moon night I was trapped inhibited by my own fright Transfixed and frozen without human reach Numbed by countless denizens of earthy breach Heart beating like a drum of huge percussion Is this my fate to be destroyed by concussion? Long I ran in all directions to escape dessecration My frail body all in stress searching for cessation No direction, solace or hope of mercy found I Perhaps this was the night I would surely die Furry ominous brushes from ghastly monsters My legs sped quicker to escape the hairy predators One last desperate kick into dark unknown night Thank God I could now make out a dim shaft of light Perhaps reprieved and not my turn to die as yet For I'd only fallen asleep in the walk-in clothes closet!
