Iwannabeahadeda...

Whoami?
Hadeda Ibis : Bostrychia hagedash
Whatdoilooklike?
I have an elongated down-curved bill, a bit larger than a guinea fowl. I’m greyish- or grey-brown with blackish wing- and tail feathers. In certain lighting, a beautiful metallic purple or greenish lustre is visible on my wing coverts. My bill is kind of black, with a red line on the top of the upper bill. My legs and feet are grey, with a line of red scales running down the front and the tops of the toes.
Wheredoihunt?
I’m very well known in the urban areas I inhabit, but in the non-breeding season I often gather in larger numbers to feed, or at roost sites, where it can get very loud.
Whatlanguagedoispeak?
My call is a haunting, raucous, loud and harsh “Hah - hah - hah de dah”, uttered from a perch, or while I’m in flight.
Whodoihangoutwith?
I’m usually with a buddy or a small group...
Whatamiabout?
I’m the king of my domain,
I call as I please, and bother not whom I displease,
I strut as I please, without a care in the world if you please,
Many people view me as a pest, but they’re doing me a great injustice,
I’m a breath of fresh air amidst a deleterious and artificial world,
I’m an instant connection to nature, I envigorate those around me,
My beautiful, haunting call will immediately clear up the cobwebs of your artificial environment,
And will bond you with the freshness of nature,
As soon as you hear my call, you’ll stop what you’re doing, run outside and look for me,
The, you will draw peace and strength from me,
Your eyes will become brighter,
Your step will liven, your soul will be activated,

Iwannabeahadeda...,
Iwannabeahadeda...,
Iwannabeahadeda...
