Take an onion, finely dice, Add garlic and risotto rice. A few minutes fry in olive oil, But not too long, or it will spoil.
Add stock and wine, about half a cup, Stir well till rice doth take it up. Keep adding stock, little and oft’ Keep stirring till thy rice be soft.
Add parmesan to give it flavour, And whatever herbs you favour. Add salt and pepper if you wish. Then tip it all into a dish.

About this poem:
I wasn’t sure if I should post this in poetry or recipes. In the end I decided against recipes just in case anyone should be foolish enough to try and use it as one.
I don't know it might be edible but not to everyone's taste. Makes a savory poem though. Thanks for sharing your spur of the moment recipe! The best recipes and poems are the off the top of the head ones. Happy New Year!

Poetry cookbook is not a bad idea at all - why not to bring it to life, let’s try!

Well the poetry cookbook was your idea, Yaspark, I think the honour of launching the project should go to you. With your obvious "can do" attitude I think it will be a great success. I will help in any way I can and you are free to call upon my less than impressive poetry and cookery expertise at any time. Okay, let's do this, poets.
